This course is designed for the lay person to increase
their knowledge of C.P.R. The participant will be able to perform C.P.R. and recognize
when to use it. This course has two components. One is the didactic portion and the other
is the skills portion. This course includes C.P.R. for the adult, child and infant. In
addition, foreign body airway obstruction and management is covered. The course is
approximately four hours long and includes certification on completion. Classes are

AHA HEALTH CARE PROVIDER
The American Heart Association Health Care provider course is designed
for the health care industry. This course is primarily taken by those
who are working in the health care field and are required by their employer
to have this certification. The course is approximately six to eight hours
long. This course is also offered as a recertification class and meets
the same standards. Classes are available on request and require a minimum

The Emergency Medical Technician - 1
course for those individuals who desire more training than the basic first aid course.
This is the first step in a medical career. Many health care professionals have started as
E.M.T.'s (doctors, nurses, paramedics, etc.). With an E.M.T. certification you can work in
the following areas: Emergency room technician, ambulance attendant, search and rescue,
fire department, event specialist (concerts, sporting events, amusement parks), just to
name a few.
This course is a one hundred and twenty seven hour course as
mandated by Title 22 of the Health and Safety Code. This particular course is taught to
the California State Fire Marshal requirements. The course includes didactic,
comprehensive skill performance, and examination. In addition, there are ten hours of
field time and ten hours of clinical time.
There are no prerequisites for this course although
it is recommended that the participants have some knowledge of medical
terms and anatomy, The course includes all materials, as well as a C.P.R.
certification and an A.E.D. certification. Upon successful completion
of the course you will receive a State Certification allowing you to work

Standard First Aid
is a course designed for the lay person with a basic knowledge of the body and how to care
for it when an injury occurs. Included in the course will be information on how to use the
environment around you to care for the injuries. Upon completion of the course the
participant will be able to identify potentially life threatening injuries and will have
basic skills in splinting and bandaging.
This course is a State Certified course and meets or exceeds the requirements set forth by
OSHA and insurance demands. This course is approximately four hours in length with
didactic and skills training. After successful completion you will receive a certification
valid for two years. All courses require a minimum of eight participants. For course
